The animated movie of A* episode 5 is done! It was too much action and too many shades of gray for Flash to handle this time, so this one has gone straight to YouTube HD.
I've also switched the other movie pages over to showing the embedded YouTube versions, but you can still get their Flash versions from their "files" link if you want them.
I'm going to see if I can whip up a Flash trailer or two for posting on Newgrounds and deviantART; I may also see about getting out another little One-Off joke comic before I go ahead and plunge into A* episode 6--which I'm actually rather excited about. It'll have a deadly nebula and an inhabited planet and--oh, so many things. And it won't have quite as many space acrobatics as this past episode had, so the story should start to move along faster.
Thanks to the magical power of youtube subscriptions, I got an early viewing of the episode. Excelent work Ben. It was great to see it in motion. Well done.

And yeah I had to tell YouTube not to send my movies to Facebook without asking...my followers on FB got an early, inadvertent link to my first attempt which was a little too cut-off at the end, and while I'd set that version as unavailable on YouTube, once YouTube publishes its link to Facebook, it stays there until the FB article about it is removed, gah!
And a BIG THANKS to SEPET and Steven Baughman for supporting A* and the development of episode 5, thus getting their names and web sites forever emblazoned in the episode's credits! Thanks, guys!

P.S. I want to know what happen when Selenis get aboard the Sal's ship!!! Poor Sal, how can he manage a woman like that..... I mean hey she shoot out herself!!! :)

Um... Hm... Well, let's just say that I'm not too sure we'll be seeing Sal again. But I also think we'll be seeing a bit of how Selenis deals with people up close and personal as soon as the very next episode, so you may be able to make some guesses from that. :o

I re-uploaded episode 5 to YouTube; sound was drifting ever-so-slightly out of sync at the end, enough to make the lip-syncing of Mar and Proctor's last few lines look a bit tardy. I think this was caused by using the default "optimize for fast start" when exporting the movies; anyway it's all in sync now, so yay. And since I didn't have forum YouTube embedding when the previous version went up, here's embedded episode 5 for this thread:
I'm pretty amazed that SEPET is still getting these done, because the Flash movie files are huge now and really beastly to work with! Even if you can't read Italian, though, his version is worth checking out because it's in Flash, rather than a movie processed from a Flash file, as my YouTube versions are--so his version is actually sharper than the official English-subtitled one! It is a bit of a hefty download--and split into two parts thanks to an annoying compiler bug in Flash--but hey, that's why there's broadband, right? So again thanks to SEPET and crew for doing all the hard work and hosting such large files; they are awesome.
If you ever need to find the link to his version in the future, it's listed below the English version on the A* episode 5 page.

Vitruv, SEPET, Starschwar and Neo87 have translated A* episode 5 into German. It's a lot of work to go through the movie, replace all the subtitles, then movify it all up again and host it on a web site, so thanks once again guys, I appreciate it and probably some German-speaking people do too!
