I own that DVD player, by the way. No clue if they still make them, though (had it for almost a decade now): Malata N996 (sounds like a SMBHAX freighter, come to think of it). Can play any dvd from any (Earth) region, even converts NTSC/PAL. Total pain to set up, though... You toggle progressive scan by holding the subtitle button, for reasons that still baffle me.

I think we can start a petition to Ben for next vassel in the comic to be called "Malata N996"

I like the inverted color you use in a few places, like an inverted version of the logo. Made me think hm I should do an animated version of the more recent black-over-white lettering I've been doing of "supermassive black hole A*" for banners and stuff.

Haven't played the MGS games, I can see some similarities to Proctor in that movie though, like how he sometimes stumbles for words, and has a lot of seemingly trivial knowledge.
