Someone at a recent con asked Bakshi what animators can do now, and he basically says to stop whining and go make some damn movies on the fancy-shmancy computers we have these days that put the power of an entire animation studio in your hands.

(I can't actually say I've seen much of Bakshi's work. I saw his rotoscoped Lord of the Rings
and thought it was kind of cool. Hm, that might be about it. I always saw Wizards
on the shelf at the video store I went to as a kid, but the back of the VHS tape box never inspired me enough to rent it. You'll probably find some of it in the Related Videos section of the page linked above, and, well...yeah. Pretty wacky stuff!)
