The Princess and the Giant won a spot in Al Bruno's One Lovely Blog award list. Okay so it's like a chain letter thing or something but hey, it's the first thing the Princess has won, so huzzah! Thanks, Al!

She was way overdue for a bath, so maybe this is for the best.
EDIT: Ooh, almost forgot to include the soundtrack I'd picked out for this week:
Better. :)

I hadn't intended to dwell on this dunking, but gee, how many times am I going to have an excuse to draw a spitting-mad Princess? Well okay maybe lots, but I'm taking this one, darn it! ;D

Sheesh I gotta stop giving her such extreme expressions, it takes a second night of work just to balance her back to looking vaguely human! Or at least a little less seahorsey. :o

Showtime! And hey, new outfit. It's only been...what...nine and a half months. That there is a "bedleh," aka a belly dancer's costume. Bedleh have only been around for maybe 200 years or so, so it doesn't quite fit in with the Crusader theme this castle in the desert has going on otherwise, but hey, neither do giants or spotlights, so what are ya gonna do. It seems that the classier bedleh these days are Egyptian, so that's the type she's sporting; here's one fairly similar to it, for instance (and made to order in Egypt for only $450, nice deal, maybe?). [EDIT: Bah that link is broken now and I didn't save the reference image, which was really dumb! Ech that site as a whole seems to have converted to a totally inauthentic cheap costume site, too.] The blouse sort of thing it has makes it a relatively demure model, although it's interesting to note that dancing with bare midriff is illegal now in Egypt, so if a dancer was gonna sport this one down in Egypt-land ("let my midriff go"?), she'd wear a sheer body stocking under it. Fortunately that law's only been around since the 50's, so the Princess is probably in the clear. Uh and she isn't in Egypt, come to that.

Huh she ended up with silly anime eyes again, I think maybe I did that subconsciously to make a contrast against the women she's hiding behind. Hmmm also it's easier to get expression into bigger rounder eyes like that. Still, gotta make sure this doesn't become a habit. :P
