Lots of Metal Gear and Watchmen, eh? Huh. I'll have to pay more attention to the Watchmen soundtrack the next time I...watch it.

The door/gun sounds...sound (why am I doing this?!?) like they could be just the thing for the ep 1-2 transition!

The Selenis computer scene is a tricky one since it was the bridge between eps 2 and 3, but 3 and 4 are now folded up inside ep 1! Where you have it now might be the best place in the reworked scheme.

Take Solvan's advice and watch the director's cut, if you haven't already. Much better than the theatrical version.

Oh arr ell why? I forget Mar's reasons--what's better in the director's cut? I wonder if they have that version up for download on PSN...

Actually, the DC comes free with the disc version of the End is Nigh tie-in game (PS3 version only). It's a satisfying if shallow brawler.

As for what's better, I'd say just about everything. Almost every scene has at least one new line or action to it, some have more than others. Theres a few brand new scenes in there as well. If you've read the graphic novel, you'll appreciate the fact that one very emotional moment is no longer missing. And if you haven't... you get a brand new emotional moment! At any rate, the whole experience flows much better in the DC, despite the additional length.

Hm, sounds good. I played the demo of part one of End is Nigh and wasn't all that impressed. Never read the Watchmen graphic novel, either... I always used to see it in comic stores back when I collected comic books, but I couldn't tell what was going on at a glance, and the colors hurt my eyes. :P I would like to see a tweaked version of the movie, though, because the version I saw seemed like it needed a little more...something.

Yeah, the theatrical cut was never really supposed to exist. The original plan was to screen what is now called the Director's Cut. However, they wanted to have it in IMAX as well, and as it turns out, IMAX has maximum running times.

Granted, if any movie deserved to be seen that way, Watchmen was it... but not at the cost of cutting it down.

Actually, they did the same thing to Attack of the Clones a few years back... I think that cut may have actually been the stronger of the two.

Okay, I watched it! Not sure if it was the added material (can't say I could pick it out) or just seeing it the second time (or seeing it at home with a pause button rather than in a crowded theater), but I was able to make more connections among a lot of the small details, which made for a more enjoyable viewing.

EDIT: Ohh yeah, also I couldn't help noticing that there were crossed police lines in The Comedian's apartment! ;D And I pretty much completely forgot to pay attention to the soundtrack. :P
