So I am going to go ahead and show off some of the stuff I've done with MxO and Photoshop because I'm an attention whore and don't know any better. :-D

(Hey, at least I'm honest.)

Truthfully, I was just curious to see BC's opinion. This is just some of the stuff I've been playing with both recently and over time. Fair warning: I've been known to make more signatures than I can even keep up with.

Heehee, wait'll you get the huge directory of my old avs/sigs in archive file #7. ;)

I like the Kreis sig: the logo, the font, the pose, the composition, and the way it sort of bursts into light from left to right. The "newnox" sig after that is pretty interesting, too; something about the texture grabbed me, and I kept looking at it, and was about to decide I didn't really like it, and then I saw the figure on the left side. Oooh.

I have this habit in everything that I do where I am extremely dissatisfied with how something comes out, and I continually work on it or worse, scrap it and start from scratch. This has effectively killed my ability to write songs. I'm trying to stop, though.

I see so many mistakes, imperfections, and things that I just plain wish I'd done differently in those edits, but I've decided to leave them be and try to use them as guides for things I need to pay attention to in the future. In the edit for Kreis's sig, it drives me INSANE that I forgot to remove that stray shell that overlaps her leg, but luckily for the sig itself, it didn't cause any issue. Same thing goes with the "newnox" edit, though both of those images were made explicitly to become sigs. With the "newnox" (boy, my naming conventions sure are original and orderly), I wanted to give the feeling of the system coming apart around him. (Obviously?) I made that one when the end was announced. Like I said, I really want to stop being overly critical of my work and take it as it is instead of constantly going back and redoing things again and again.

Anyway, thanks!

Yeah, I have a bad habit of uploading a picture, then sitting and staring at it until I find something I don't like, then letting that bug me until I go back and edit it. It's almost a relief when the original file gets to be such a mess of edit layers that it's more or less impossible to mess with anymore. =P

I do that kind of thing far too much, though I tend to find the more I analyse the more I ruin it and want to go back to the original ;)

No kidding; sometimes I'll find that I've been spending the past two hours just gradually ruining a drawing, and I hafta backtrack to an earlier point (for the base line work at least I periodically copy it into a hidden layer, so I have a record) and start again from there.
