Some of you have cool forum avatars, and some of you are currently avatar-less. That's fine if you like it that way, but I thought I'd make a thread about avatar making for those who might want one.

If there's any part of particular A* scene you'd like as an avatar, I can whip up a nice sharp one for you from the original art. Just go ahead and ask.

If you'd like something that's actually original and fancy, there may be some Photoshop whizzes here who can help you out.

Also, please feel free to use any of the icons on the icons page that are 100 pixels or smaller, and that nobody else is currently using as their own avatar (quel faux pas!). If that isn't enough for you, don't hesitate to rip the gif versions of the episodes (you'll find them in the "files" section of each episode page) apart and borrow whatever A* graphic you might want to use for your avatar.

If you're looking for nice space images to use as sources, the Chandra and Hubble site albums are great places to look. Not that you need to have a space theme for your avatar!

Thought I would be the first to ask you to make me an avatar at (if possible) 100 by 100 pixels. Was wondering if you could get the very last scene at the end of episode 4? It's the scenery without the ship in view.

Awesome, thanks Ben. I did try giving it ago myself but it always ended up looking squashed :(

Okay, got two tries at it. The first one is a letterbox view of the whole background, and the second one is more zoomed in, after moving things around a bit and adding some stars. :P Let me know if you want me to try it some other way!
