Did she just...? That's awesome! Very cool idea, Ben.

Is it? Now I'm worried you're reading more into this than I intended. Anyway we should get a full non-glowed-up view of it today!

.... so you're saying she didn't shoot herself out of a moving spacecraft?

Oh! No, I'm not saying that. ;) Movement in space is all very relative, of course, since there's no atmosphere to slow you down. You'll notice that her ship has stopped its engine in that last image: that's because it doesn't need to go any faster, but it's still going a little faster than Sal's ship. There's also something she's got on her left arm that you can't see yet, except for the top part of its effect behind her there.

So long as it involves human beings being ejected into space, its still awesome. To paraphrase Red Vs Blue... "Sarge, how can you be afraid of heights? Didn't you jump out of ships in the war?" "Of course. How do you think I got scared of it? That ---- was crazy."

Added 4 new A* comics: Finally a somewhat good look at Selenis. If you're saying "Selenis wha-?," the end of episode 2 should clarify things for you! I got the idea for that forearm thruster of hers from the EVA scenes in the semi-hard-sci-fi (up until the end :P) movie "Mission to Mars."

Put large mash-up versions of two of those on deviantART: Selenis enjoys EVA and Evasive action.

Added 4 new A* comics: Not quite up to full speed on the art for this episode yet, but I did figure myself out a little tweak for making my el-quicky starry backgrounds a little nicer, sooo a smidge of progress there anyway. Tomorrow we'll reach the first of the real acrobatic shots requiring frame-by-frame drawing for the animation, eep!

Hm. A gas operated weapon (or hook launcher, etc) working in space? Interesting... well, they have things like that that work under water, so I imagine that sort of thing is possible.
