Thanks very much to the A* art buyer who let me know today that eBay recently changed how auctions worked, with a new default seller setting requiring bidders to specify their payment method PRIOR to placing a bid on an item; this setting also apparently prevents combining shipping for multiple items, and forces the buyer to pay within one hour of the end of the auction! You can read more about the change in this eBay Community thread.
I have now turned that new setting OFF: bids on A* watercolor page art do NOT require a payment method.
