My first real commissioned piece of artwork for a reader, this depicts a scene from Cordwainer Smith's 1958 sci-fi short story "The Burning of the Brain." More on that here. 11.5" x 10"; watercolor, white ink, and pencil on 300 lb Arches bright white hot press watercolor paper.
