PSOne Classics version on PS3. Nice graphical lift over T1 (see entry 1388), and control's slightly less clunky, except they nerfed mah throws (they come back a bit in T5). Music's still good. Lots of modes now, Team Battle Mode lets you play a one-off KOF-style team match--except with up to 8 characters per side, if you want! Even more characters than the first and even more to unlock. Some impressive low-poly character and stage design. Lei's Hong Kong skyscraper rooftop, with its sharp skyline and colored lighting hitting the fighters from below, is a real standout. |

| | | | Oh yeah, no sidestepping until the next game (except Kazuya's Mist Step, says Google?). Didn't get much from a quick re-mash here on pad; it didn't give me the cool background so it was a lot of very dark rooms and a washed-out field. Surprised it has pause-screen playlists; did they intentionally make them feel bigger than they are by having them stealth wrap as you scroll? They're actually pretty small, which generally I approve of. Circle button did nothing with Paul? Didn't double-check that at all though. |

| | | | From here on out the regular Tekkens have big flash hit FX. Stick with T1 and TTTHD I guess. ; ) |

| | | | Oops no it's the same as Tekken 1. They don't actually get bad until Tekken 7, I think. |

| | | Spamming down-forward-right-kick, mostly as Marshall or Forest Law, to try to cheese the VERY HARD CPU in Arcade Mode of every Tekken game I've got! 2:25 - Tekken 10:13 - Tekken 2 20:22 - Tekken 3 41:25 - Tekken Tag Tournament HD 48:00 - Tekken 4 1:13:58 - Tekken 5 1:17:25 - Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection 1:21:19 - Tekken 6 1:28:33 - Tekken Tag Tournament 2 1:34:15 - Tekken 7 1:48:34 - Tekken 8 2:14:01 - wrap! Didn't seem to work in T3, TTTHD, and Tekken 8--not that the vulnerability didn't still seem to be there on the CPU's side for the most part--with the notable exception of CPU Bryan's consistent flip-kick counter in Tekken 8--but that they would counter with ridiculously overpowered stuff that rendered the exploit underpowered and irrelevant. Although that wasn't the case vs Armor King and Lars in T8 who basically just matched my crouch and sat there, letting me kick them repeatedly. So, T8 is weird, sometimes real good, sometimes real bad. ; D Those videos from a few years back when I first found the problem in T5DR and was testing it with every character in just the one game I thought it affected: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIPr7yg4LOo and then retesting some of them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niAdZN29C-E Was surprised by the fudgy control in Tekken 4--backdash input usually failed, side-switching is awkward, and just staying crouched was really frustrating.
