| | | ROMs extractable with game-extraction-toolbox (see entry 1689). I couldn't get the US version of Captain Commando to run in MAME 0.119, 0.255, or 0.262. The Japanese version runs in 255 and 262, however. I couldn't get either the US or JP version of Warriors of Fate to run in any of those versions of MAME. The toolbox status page notes "6/7 playable on some version of MAME, but wof/wofj missing audiocpu data." MAME 262 runs: Captain Commando (JP) Final Fight Knights of the Round The King of Dragons MAME 119 runs: Armored Warriors Battle Circuit |

| | | | The King of Dragons has hit flashes, and Knights of the Round is kinda slow. The sprites in both are smaller and lumpier than in say Final Fight or Captain Commando. |

| | | | KotR isn't slow w/ Lancelot, at least. 'p' |
| | | | Warriors of Fate feels slow even with a relatively fast (?) character like Subutai; doesn't help probably that the encounters are massive, with like a dozen dudes to beat up before you can move forward. And feels even slower on horseback! (Contrast w/ KotR which feels pretty sprightly as Lancelot, on horse or afoot.) |

| | | | Couldn't get wof or wofj to run in MAME 0.149, 0.261, 0.265, or 0.284, either. The more recent MAMEs say those ROMs are missing dl-1425.bin, which google results suggest is in a "qsound.zip"--presumably a ROM for Capcom's QSound arcade sound board. |

| | | | Okay I guess the walk speed in KotR IS a bit sedate. ; D |
