I'd never quite got it to do anything useful for me--it can't merge video files, its UI feels kind of scattered, and it hadn't proven to be the thing for various conversions--and it's rather slow at conversions--but I just had two videos I wanted to join together out of OBS that neither LosslessCut nor AVC could merge for some reason...but after a lot of revving my laptop's fan, HandBrake cranked out two clean, efficient conversions that LosslessCut had no trouble merging. Whew! So, good use for HandBrake there. |

| | | Probably something to do with my having switched up to hybrid mp4 w/ 24-bit PCM output from OBS now.
But actually I can extract the audio with ffmpeg and put that back into LosslessCut the alternative audio track, and that's loads faster and probably less lossy than reprocessing the video first through HandBrake. |
