T&E Soft golf game and their last on Super Famicom; they'd already done a Pebble Beach on SFC/SNES--"New 3D Golf Simulation: Pebble Beach no Hatou"/"True Golf Classics: Pebble Beach Golf Links"--but put this one out 4.5 years later--Fall '96, a year after the Saturn Pebble Beach, one non-Pebble PS1 game, and their PS1 Pebble Beach would come out three months later--with the SA1 ("Super Accelerator 1") chip inside: based on the same chip as the SFC CPU, but three times the clock speed and with advanced math & DMA functions, etc. 35 SFC/SNES games would use the chip, although only 6 that came to the US: Dragon Ball Z: Hyper Dimension, Kirby Super Star, Kirby's Dream Land 3, PGA European Tour, PGA Tour '96, Power Rangers Zero: Battle Racers, and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. 4 of the 35 were golf games, the other being T&E's second-to-last SFC release, "Masters New: Harukanaru Augusta 3."

I suppose it's the SA1 that accounts for the cart having the side prong pin things?

Yes the "extension pins" / "side tabs" (Google overview 'p') are for extra chips ( https://wiki.superfamicom.org/schematics-ports-and-pinouts , https://www.reddit.com/r/snes/comments/101f7wa/only_2_of_my_games_have_these_2_extra_parts_on/ ).

"Only **7** that came to the US." 'p'

Both this and Masters Augusta 3, the other T&E Soft SA1 cart, have that metal clip on just the right side below the expansion pins, so I guess(?) no clip on the left is normal.

Thanks to meauxdal for posting a mag chart showing Waialae Country Club: True Golf Classics hitting 7th best selling game for August 1998: https://selectbutton.net/t/videogame-things-you-think-about-a-lot-lot-lot-lot/15363/2047

Oh hey that #7 is mentioned in its Wikipedia article : ) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waialae_Country_Club:_True_Golf_Classics

You know, I completely spaced on checking US N64 sales. Jeepers. Or 3DO. And I can't find one for Virtual Boy. But yep there's N64 Waialae at 404K US sales--and 1M worldwide, woo. Good catch! ; DDD https://vgsales.fandom.com/wiki/Nintendo_64 What a miss by me. ; D Ironically, that one did not come out in Japan. So...in theory the other 600K sales are EU? But it isn't listed there. So uh hm.

Best I could find for 3DO is this forum post https://forums.atariage.com/topic/324535-3do-software-sales-found-platinum-and-gold-best-sellers-as-of-end-of-1995/ , whose link my virus checker insists I do not click. But in the body of the post they note the title with over 100K sold, and guess what's there:

True Golf Classics: Pebble Beach Golf Links (3DO)

So at least 100K for that one.

Ah the mag for that sales chart meauxdal posted was EGM.
