Abandoned Steam game. Hi-score server is down. After installing from Steam, you have to download another 600 MB to get to the main menu. Then you have to download another 600 MB to get into the table.

It's a hi-res version of the old Pro Pinball: Timeshock (see entry 209). It looks kinda nice and the physics seem okay, if rather slow after Pro mode of Pinball FX with its steep table tilt (see entry 1610). Control mapping is oddly limited so I made a DS4Windows (see entry 1761) profile to map my DualSense to the keyboard defaults. 'p'

There's a virtual operator's menu but you can't adjust table tilt. You can turn off the match sequence, at least.

But other than looking nice it's a bland and generic table and the sound is super-bland. I'm gonna ask Steam for a refund.

There was a 2012 Kickstarter to recreate all four of the original tables, boosted with Pat Lawlor's name (he wasn't involved in the series' creation; says here he was gonna help with the redesigns somehow...); the Kickstarter was unsuccessful--wanted $400K, got 174K: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1790321238/pro-pinball-revived-and-remastered

It sounds like Timeshock was in progress at the time (I also remember a fancy shadow-casting lighting engine animation preview shown off somewhere); they got that one finished--as "Pro Pinball Ultra"--but that seems to have been it.
