An on-foot racing Sonic fan game fan; from the description it's multiplayer only. I didn't get past the tutorial, which has way too many generic, poorly tuned 3D Sonic game controls (camera, a baffling number of attacks including lock-on chain jumping attacks, side dashes, etc), "anime waifu" speech avatars, and a warning that it has swiped content from Sega--which was expected and Sega has said they're fine with for non-commercial fan games--and Nintendo--which Nintendo is decidedly NOT fine with.
Was rather hoping it might be an entire game similar to my favorite stage in Sonic Generations--see entry 1715--the Shadow Rival Battle stage, which is an entirely on-foot single-player racing game (and boss battle) without platforming.
The current Sonic Battle R "Prototype V3" says it's "5%" complete. A big update for Sage 2026, a few weeks away, has been announced -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEraWLmUK9Y -- but the bullet points don't sound like they're making it more like what I was hoping for, and in addition to on-foot racing the trailer does show 3D Sonic-style platforming, which is not what I was after. |
