| | | Rather unique cutesy vertical shooter in which you control a triumvirate of young lads flying over the landscape. One button fires, the other rotates between the boys, and of course each has a different shot: spread shot, tracking banana shot, and light saber.
Graphics and sound aren't the greatest but they get the job done, and the game zips right along nice and smooth-like. In fact the game wouldn't be that hard except that the enemies move so darn fast. Yet they have a certain childish charm to them and the bosses in particular show some creativity in taking everyday objects of childhood obsession (race cars, trains) and turning them in to foxy bullet-shooting opponents. Once you get enough powerups your kids become quite the death-dealing trifecta, blowing up everything in sight in a satisfying way. |

This is the game "Toy Shop Boys" for the Japanese PC Engine game system ("PCE"). Includes the actual game HuCARD only--none of the original packaging is included.
HuCARD only. The HuCARD is in excellent condition. I tested the HuCARD and it played with no problems.
Please note that this is the Japanese version of the game, requiring a Japanese PC Engine system for play; it will NOT play in a western TurboGrafx-16 system. |
