Also I set the episode counter in the comic reader back to x/45 from x/32; it had lost 13 episodes when I took them out recently (they're archived at the bottom of the e-books page), but that 32 was pretty confusing really, as a reader kindly pointed out. : ) So I changed the number back. ^ _^

Added 1 new A* page:Stuck with my old nub of a brush for this one, I'm addicted to those tiny little lines. ^ _^ Definitely gonna have to order one of those little 4/0 size or however they write it brushes, although I dunno, will those last any longer than this remaining little nub of the old bigger brush? : D

Oh also the NY Times has an interesting article about what they think is a ring around Quaoar, a Kuiper Belt dwarf planet—and how the ring doesn't fit the usual theories.

Added 1 new A* page:My new "vegan" Raphael 8344 brush arrived today! Painted the rocket in today's page with it, even. : ) The tip is slightly rumpled—they didn't put a little plastic tube over the end to protect the bristles, just chucked it loose in a plastic bag and shoved that in a padded shipping envelope, hmph! Maybe that's all the respect synthetic brushes get, I dunno. Anyway, it'll probably straighten out after a bit.
Here's a little 1" sketch I did with it!
That came out nicer than the competing little sketch I did with my old brush—still, I feel like I might miss my little old nub—it's sort of fun using that ultra-precise little need of a thing. I started thinking gosh it's too bad I can't just buy a pre-worn-down brush or something, and then I bothered to check and realized that there ARE brush sizes smaller than the size 0 I've been buying for years, for instance my worn old nub might be about a size 4/0—6 mm, down from the starting size 0's 11 mm bristle length.
Maybe I should buy a size 4/0 next time? Or...well, I can still keep using my nub whenever I want, anyway. Couldn't have painted today's rocket with it very easily, though! So, I guess I'd better see if I can get used to a non-worn-down brush again. ; )

Got the next A* page pretty much painted—gotta polish it up with the eraser and hopefully that'll be it!—but it's somehow gotten late and I'm pretty bushed so the finishing up and getting it all scanned and captioned and posted and social media'd will just have to wait until I've got some sleep. : )

Speaking of painting, I just ordered a new brush! Exciting! : D I've been using Raphaël's 8404 Kolinsky sable brushes for years and years now, but they've recently come out with a synthetic brush that they describe as having "a vegan fiber"; it's their new 8344 line and I'm gonna try it. : D I haven't found any reviews but they've got a reasonably compelling comparison video, and the 8344s are pretty inexpensive anyway so seems worth a shot. : )
My current brush is super worn down and can only do fine lines; I was looking at some pages in episode 35 and realized the better carrying capacity of the less worn brush I must have had there was enabling me to do some nice paint things than I can't do very easily with my current thin old nub of a brush. ^) ^

Okay well the big news as such is that I hid episodes 1-13; if you click "first" on the left below the comic now it takes you to episode 14, page 1. I'm not happy with my representation of some of the characters in the early episodes. It's bad. Not only badly drawn, but actually bad. If you really need them you can get those episodes as a bundle of zipped-up pdfs in a download link at the bottom of the episodes & e-books page; I just didn't want anyone coming across them accidentally and thinking I'm still okay with how I did them, because I'm not. And I don't want new readers feeling obligated to read them.
