Added 3 new A* comics:Bounty hunter and educator Selenis demonstrates the proper manner of equipping a Core Sys trooper rifle in a new piece in the gallery (click this small preview to get to the full version):
In the animation, she'll be shouldering the rifle, which she just got from the trooper killed, as she stands and says her lines.
Speaking of the animated version of the episode, I'm nearly done with the daily art, so I've gotta start doling the daily comics out at just one or two a day in order to build up a buffer that will keep you guys getting new comics each day while I'm animating all the artwork together. On the plus side, they might actually be a little more timely each day, rather than arriving really late at night as per my usual. ;)
Ren and Stimpy creator John Kricfalusi recently posted on his blog a pretty cool old interview in which Mel Blanc describes how he got the job as voice of the Looney Tunes cartoon characters, and how he came up their different voices. Pretty cool to hear. Anyway, in the interview, Mel also throws out the factoid that it took a Warner Bros. team of 125 people 9 months to make a 6 minute animated short. Sometimes I feel bad that it takes me nearly 2 months to make an ~ 6 minute A* episode, but heck, if it took 125 WB people 4.5 times as long to make one of theirs, I don't feel as bad about it! Boy, if I could only run a Mick-style cloning process and get 119 more of me, in theory we could be kicking out 2 A* new episodes per *day*.
In reality, of course, we would quickly kill each other off in a brutal fight for dominance.

What else... Ooh yeah! I know I promised a few weeks ago that I'd be inflicting ads on you guys soon, since my readership is now big enough for ads to start helping me pay some bills (thanks guys! :D), but here I find myself in the busy time of wrapping up an episode, and redoing all the site's page layouts to add ads will take some doing, so I'm gonna put that off until episode 6 is safely in the can.
I know, I know... You all *really* want those ads. =P Well, I did squeeze in a little layout experimentation this weekend, so you can see in this preview what their placement might look like
only they'll be other people's ad banners, not mine; they'll probably mostly be ads for other webcomics, but heck they could be for any kind of weird thing really. :o
