I got fiber internet today! I can upload 25x faster now than I could with my ol' cable internet—and at just 2/3rds the price (although it's a "deal" so we'll see what new "deal" they decide to give me in 6 months : P). But! Although speed tests showed the new speed, uploads to YouTube were only going about 2x speed (20 Mbps rather than 300—although my plan is technically supposed to be 100). Turns out, the slow upload speed is a browser bug Firefox has known about for years! To fix the problem, I just had to
 
"Set 'network.http.http3.enable' to false in about:config and restart the browser"

Sheesh! Anyway, now it's all super-fast, yay!
 
Update 3/28: updated fiber speed numbers above to 25x and 300 Mbps (from 200)—improvement with new router: I'd been using the one from the old cable ISP until this new one arrived ^ _^; it's the one recommended by the fiber rep who signed me up, they linked me to it on Amazon: a TP-Link AX1800 WiFi 6 Router V4 (Archer AX21).
